Adding extra weight information

You can only add an extra weight item if you have editing privileges for the vessel. A weight item's name can contain up to 18 characters.

When you define a moment or a center of gravity, XPS recalculates related fields. For example, when you edit the longitudinal center of gravity, XPS recalculates the longitudinal moment; when you edit the transverse moment, XPS recalculates the transverse center of gravity.

To add an extra weight item:

1. In the Extra Weights window, click New.

2. In the blank row that appears at the top of the list, click the Weight Name field.

3. Type a descriptive name for the new item.

4. Click the Weight (Wt Tns) field.

5. Type the weight of the new item.

6. Click any other field to type information, as needed.

7. When done, close the Extra Weights window.
